RateItAll: relaunching a rate-anything platform in Nuxt
A Nuxt build for a consumer rating platform first founded in 1999 and revived in 2022, where people rate movies, songs, food, sports, actors and politicians.

The product problem
RateItAll is a consumer review and rating platform founded in 1999 and featured on TechCrunch, VentureBeat and PC Magazine. It was revived in 2022. A returning platform has to make a broad idea simple again. Anyone should be able to find a topic, give a rating and come back to what they have rated, whether the subject is a film, a song, a food or a public figure.
The delivered scope
The platform is built with Nuxt. Visitors find things to rate through a category grid and a topics page filtered by tags. Each rated subject has its own review page. Signed in users have a dashboard with their ratings and settings. A quick rating mode speeds up rating several subjects, and users can add a new topic when something they want to rate is missing.
Relaunching a legacy product in steps
The relaunch is presented in steps, starting with the core rating loop: find, rate, review and return. Topic pages give each subject a stable destination, and user submitted topics let the catalogue grow from its community. For a similar revival, decide which parts of the original product return first, how existing subjects map to new pages and which features wait for later releases.
