YouNet: an embeddable chat widget for AI agents

A React and Material UI interface for an AI agent platform, including a plug and play chat widget that businesses embed on their own websites.

YouNet product interface

The product problem

YouNet is a platform for building business solutions with AI agents. It offers pre-built agents for customer support, social media, SEO and data analysis. An agent is only useful if customers can reach it where they already are. That means the conversation has to travel to a business's own website, without asking the business to build a chat interface or rework its pages.

The delivered scope

The project uses React and Material UI. Its plug and play chat widget loads from a single script and mounts on a custom element in the host page. Settings such as the agent model, language, size, position, button text and image are passed with the script. Responses stream into the chat as they are generated and render as formatted Markdown. Visitors can stop a response or change the conversation language.

Isolating a widget from the host page

An embedded widget runs on pages it does not control. YouNet's widget renders inside a shadow root, so its styles and the host site's styles do not leak into each other. Configuration lives in the embed code rather than in the page. For a similar build, decide early how the widget is installed, what a site owner can configure, and how streaming and errors behave on slow connections.
