Model allowed choices rather than a flat list of swatches
Start with manufacturer-approved product styles and the options available for each. A fabric offered on one frame may not belong on every product in the catalog. Define the supported combinations and who can maintain them. Decide whether a choice changes the product identifier or remains a configuration of the same style. Keep names, images and availability states explicit so the buyer can understand a selection without relying solely on a swatch color.
