PicKey: a visual password manager across web, browser and billing

A password manager where points chosen in a person's own photographs replace the master password, delivered through a Next.js marketing site, web app, browser extensions and Stripe subscriptions.

PicKey product interface

The product problem

Master passwords are hard to remember and easy to reuse. PicKey replaces the string with a picture: a person picks points in their own images, and the app turns that choice into credentials. The idea only works if it reaches the places people actually sign in, so the product cannot live on a single page. It needs a website that explains it, an app that holds it and extensions that fill credentials.

The delivered scope

The product spans a marketing site, a web app and browser extensions that fill credentials at sign-in, with subscription plans handled through Stripe. The marketing site is a Next.js, React and TypeScript build exported as static pages. It presents the image-based login, the MagicPass feature, pricing plans and download links for the Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Safari extensions, while checkout pages use the Stripe Payment Element for paid and family plans.

One account, many entry points

A security product earns trust through consistency. The same account, plan and login method have to make sense whether a person meets PicKey on the website, in a browser extension or at checkout. For a similar build, the account and subscription model should be designed once and shared across every surface, so that each extension and payment page reflects the same plan rather than its own copy of it.
