Lizzt: a Next.js rebuild of a group event planning app
A Next.js and TypeScript rebuild of a Dutch event planning app, with shared tasks, items, costs, chat and AI-assisted event setup on an existing Supabase backend.

The product problem
Lizzt is for people organising something together rather than alone, such as a company outing, a school camp or a club activity. Plans like these usually scatter across a group chat. Lizzt keeps conversations, checklists, costs and files attached to the part of the event they belong to. The application has to serve organisers and participants at once, on desktop, tablet and mobile.
The delivered scope
The work rebuilt the frontend in Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS while keeping the existing Supabase backend. It covers sign up, sign in and password reset, then each event's overview, tasks, items, costs, chat, participants, attendance, notifications and settings. A typed data layer uses SWR. The guided AI flow that drafts an event from a short description is integrated into the new interface, which is multilingual, including Dutch and English.
Rebuilding the interface around a working backend
Keeping the backend in place let the rebuild concentrate on structure, responsiveness and the screens people use every day, without migrating live data. For a similar project, the first step is an inventory of existing screens and behaviour, so parity can be checked before improvements are added. The backend contract, including any AI endpoints, should be agreed early so frontend and backend work can run in parallel.
