Android and iOS in the United Kingdom: one React Native codebase
With the split that close, a single React Native codebase is usually the sensible starting point: one set of business logic, two store builds, platform code only where the device demands it. Each store still has its own gate. Since 31 August 2026, new apps and updates submitted to Google Play must target Android 16 (API level 36) or higher, and every app published on Play must complete the Data safety form, which covers data collected or shared through third-party SDKs. On iOS, uploads to App Store Connect need a privacy manifest declaring approved reasons for each required-reason API the code uses. Our work for a client in the United Kingdom includes Roblox Den (robloxden.com), a reference site with 100,000+ game codes, a browser extension and mobile apps. Other React Native apps of ours are TrendinChat (trendin.chat), shipped in two weeks, and the Coffict (coffict.com) ordering and loyalty app.
