Software Development for Denmark: AI Agents, Senior Review

Ankara is two hours ahead of Denmark in winter and one hour ahead in summer, so a Danish team shares 7 or 8 hours of a 09:00 to 18:00 day. The harder questions are who may see personal data from outside the EU, whether NIS 2 supply chain duties make an outside developer part of your own security work, and how a system you build has to invoice Danish public authorities.

Curiosive is an AI-native studio in Ankara, Türkiye. Coding agents such as Claude Code and Cursor do the volume, and a senior engineer reviews every change before it merges. Work runs as AI-accelerated development, starting from $2,000 per month, with scope agreed in writing. Data models, authentication, permissions and anything touching personal data are designed by engineers, not agents.

Working hours between Denmark and Ankara across the year

Türkiye keeps UTC+3 all year, so only the Danish side moves. On Danish winter time (UTC+1) the gap is two hours: when we start at 09:00 in Ankara it is 07:00 in Denmark, our 18:00 finish is 16:00 Danish time, and your 09:00 start is 11:00 for us. That gives 7 shared hours in a 09:00 to 18:00 day. On Danish summer time (UTC+2) the gap drops to one hour: our day covers 08:00 to 17:00 in Denmark, your 09:00 is our 10:00, and 8 hours overlap. Because work runs on Türkiye business hours, the studio day closes at 16:00 or 17:00 your time, and anything raised later waits for the start of our next day. That is why decisions are written down rather than left in a call, one short weekly call sits in the shared block, and a releasable increment ships every week.

GDPR transfers when engineers in Türkiye see Danish personal data

Denmark supplements the GDPR with its Data Protection Act, currently consolidated as LBK nr. 289 of 8 March 2024, and under section 27 Datatilsynet, the Danish Data Protection Agency, supervises processing covered by the Act and the GDPR. Keeping the database in an EU region does not by itself avoid a transfer. EDPB Guidelines 05/2021 treat remote access from a third country as a transfer when the three transfer criteria are met, even if data is only displayed on a screen for support or troubleshooting. As of 2 October 2026 Türkiye is not on the Commission's list of adequacy decisions, so access by our engineers needs another Chapter V tool, such as the Standard Contractual Clauses in Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914, which come in four modules including controller to processor. Under Clause 14 both parties warrant they have no reason to believe the destination country's laws and practices prevent the importer from complying. A data protection lawyer can confirm your set-up.

The Danish NIS 2 Act and questions for your software supplier

Denmark's NIS 2 Act (NIS 2-loven, Act No. 434 of 6 May 2025) entered into force on 1 July 2025. Section 9 requires in-scope providers of cloud computing, data centre, managed and managed security services, among others, to register with the relevant competent authority, with the first registration information due by 1 October 2025. The directive behind it, in Article 21, asks in-scope entities to address supply chain security, including security aspects of their relationships with direct suppliers and service providers. If your company is in scope, an outside engineering team is part of that assessment. Expect to ask how code is reviewed and who holds credentials. Our answers: every change is read before it merges for secrets handling, input validation, access control and dependency risk, and repository, database and hosting accounts are opened in your name or connected to accounts you already hold.

E-invoicing to public authorities in Denmark: EAN and CVR

If the software we build for you bills Danish public authorities, invoicing rules shape the data model. Executive Order No. 206 of 11 March 2011, still valid, requires invoices to arrive electronically in a format the authority can load directly into its invoicing or finance system. Each invoice must quote the authority's EAN location number and reference, and may list only one CVR number as creditor. An authority may defer paying an invoice that misses these requirements, so the EAN and reference belong on the customer record as required fields, not in a free-text note. Agents can draft the format mapping and a test for every rejection case; an engineer checks the mapping against the executive order before it ships. Contracts with Danish clients are cross-border, and our published prices are US dollar starting points, not quotes.

Agentic software engineering with senior review on every diff

An engineer writes each task with acceptance criteria and the parts of the system the agent must leave alone. The agent reads the existing code, plans, implements, updates tests and runs the type checker, linter and test suite. Continuous integration repeats those checks, and a senior engineer reads every diff, because a change that touches two hundred files is cheap to produce and expensive to get wrong. Agents never merge their own work. That lowers the cost of migrations, test coverage and wide refactors, not the care spent on data models or access control. Larger past work includes the RateItAll (rateitall.com) revival, a platform with 12M+ reviews, and Appster (appster.com), natural-language app discovery over 2,700+ apps.

Questions

The things people ask before starting.

What is the time difference between Denmark and Ankara, Türkiye?

Ankara is two hours ahead of Denmark in winter and one hour ahead in summer, since Türkiye stays on UTC+3 all year. In a 09:00 to 18:00 day that leaves 7 shared hours in winter and 8 in summer.

Can a Danish company let developers in Türkiye access personal data under GDPR?

Yes, if the access rests on a GDPR Chapter V transfer tool. Türkiye has no EU adequacy decision as of 2 October 2026, and remote access from a third country can itself be a transfer, so a tool such as the 2021 Standard Contractual Clauses is needed. Datatilsynet supervises GDPR processing in Denmark.

Does the Danish NIS 2 Act affect who we can outsource software development to?

It can, if your company is in scope. NIS2 asks in-scope entities to address supply chain security, including relationships with direct suppliers and service providers, so a development partner becomes part of that assessment. Expect to document how the partner reviews code and handles secrets.

How much does a software development monthly engagement cost for a company in Denmark?

Work runs as AI-accelerated development, starting from $2,000 per month, with scope agreed in writing. That is a published US dollar starting point, not a quote.

How it starts

What happens after you write to us.

  1. 01

    You describe the product

One paragraph on what you are building, roughly when you need it, and who it is for. No brief, no form with fifteen fields.

  2. 02

You get a reply within a day

From the engineer who would do the work, not a sales team. If we are not the right fit we say so, and where possible we point you somewhere better.

  3. 03

    You get a scoped plan

Scope, price and timeline in writing before anything is committed. You decide with the numbers in front of you.

No long contract to begin, no lock-in to our tooling, and the code is yours from the first commit.

Looking for an engineering partner for the long haul?

A short note about the product, the timeline and who it is for is enough to start. You will hear back from the engineer who would do the work, not a sales team.
