Software Development for Companies in Arizona, Built Remotely

Hiring an outside software team means planning around a time difference that does not change with the seasons. Most of Arizona stays on Mountain Standard Time, UTC minus 7, all year, while Ankara stays on UTC plus 3. The gap is 10 hours in January and in July, and a standard 09:00 to 18:00 day in each place shares no hours at all. A partner that far away has to work through written handoffs rather than meetings, and should say so before you sign.

Curiosive is an AI-native software studio in Ankara, Türkiye. We build products end to end or work as monthly engineering capacity inside your team, with AI coding agents doing the volume and senior engineers reviewing every line before it merges. We have no office in the state. Clients there contract with Curiosive LLC, a US company registered in New Mexico, pay in US dollars, and own the code from the first commit.

For US founders and product teams

A US company. An engineering partner you can keep.

Curiosive LLC is our US-registered company. Engineering is led from Ankara, Türkiye, with collaboration across European and US time zones. Your engagement starts with a written scope, monthly capacity and a clear delivery plan.

Know who you hire

Curiosive LLC provides the services. Our US company details and service terms are published, and pricing is in USD.

Know what will ship

Agree scope, capacity and start date before checkout. Work through a prioritized queue, with senior engineers reviewing changes before they reach production.

Keep ownership

Typed, tested and documented code, with no lock-in to our tooling. Define repository access, handover and the working-hour overlap during discovery.

Working across the Arizona and Ankara time difference

The numbers hold all year because neither side changes its clocks. The exception is the Navajo Nation, which observes daylight saving time. When the Ankara day starts at 09:00, it is 23:00 the previous evening in Phoenix. When it ends at 18:00, it is 08:00 in Phoenix. When your day starts at 09:00, it is already 19:00 in Ankara. There is no overlap, and we do not promise evening or night availability to cover it. The working model is written instead: you leave decisions and questions during your day, our working day happens during your night, and your morning starts with a written summary of what changed. One short weekly call sits at the edge of both days, at 08:00 in Phoenix and 18:00 in Ankara. A releasable increment ships every week, so progress is visible without a daily stand-up.

Arizona privacy and breach law for systems built by an outside team

Arizona has no comprehensive consumer privacy law. Its 2026 bill, SB 1815, received no committee action and ended the session held in committees, so as of October 5, 2026 no state-specific processor contract, data protection assessment or universal opt-out signal duties apply to a vendor. No comprehensive federal consumer privacy law is in force either; H.R. 8413 is still a pending bill. What does apply is the breach statute, A.R.S. 18-552. A vendor that maintains Arizona personal information it does not own must notify the data owner as soon as practicable after discovering a breach and cooperate, including sharing relevant information. Only the Attorney General may enforce knowing and wilful violations, with civil penalties up to the lesser of $10,000 per affected individual or the total economic loss, capped at $500,000 per breach or series of related breaches. Database and hosting accounts are opened in your name or connected to ones you hold, so our access to production data runs through accounts you control.

Software for Arizona state agencies: Section 508 and A.R.S. 18-132

If your customers include state budget units, accessibility is a procurement condition. Under A.R.S. 18-132, budget units that develop, procure, maintain or use electronic or information technology with state money must ensure it gives people with disabilities comparable access under the federal Section 508 standards, unless that would impose an undue burden. A budget unit that contracts with a vendor for these products or services must agree to respond to and make a good-faith effort to resolve any complaint about accessibility. Cities and counties fall under the DOJ's ADA Title II rule, which requires WCAG 2.1 Level AA for public entity websites and mobile apps, including apps a private company runs for them. An interim final rule published April 20, 2026 moved compliance to April 26, 2027 for public entities with a population of 50,000 or more and to April 26, 2028 for smaller ones. We build semantic markup, keyboard paths and focus handling from the first screen, and cover key flows with Playwright tests.

Agentic software engineering cost and the Arizona R&D tax credit

Each piece of work starts as a scoped task an engineer writes, with acceptance criteria and the boundaries the agent must not cross. A coding agent such as Claude Code or Cursor reads the code, plans, implements, updates tests and runs the type checker, linter and test suite before proposing a change. A senior engineer reviews every diff, agents never merge their own work, and CI re-runs the checks. That makes scaffolding, migrations, test coverage and wide refactors cheaper. Data models, authorization, payment paths and security review do not get cheaper, because people still do them. On the tax side, the state's R&D income tax credit under A.R.S. 43-1168 is built on increased qualified Arizona research expenses: 24% of the first $2.5 million and 15% above that for taxable years beginning before December 31, 2030. Since HB 4168 it is non-refundable for taxable years beginning after December 31, 2025. Which of your engineering spend qualifies is a question for your accountant.

Questions

The things people ask before starting.

Can an Arizona company sign a US contract with Curiosive and pay in dollars?

Yes. Clients in the state sign with Curiosive LLC, a US company registered in New Mexico, and pay in US dollars, while the engineering happens remotely from Ankara, Türkiye. Scope and budget are agreed in writing after a discovery call, and there is no long contract to begin or lock-in to our tooling.

What is the time difference between Phoenix and Ankara?

Ankara is 10 hours ahead of Phoenix all year, since neither Türkiye nor most of Arizona uses daylight saving time; the Navajo Nation is the exception. A 09:00 to 18:00 day in each city shares no hours, so we work through written handoffs plus a weekly call at 08:00 Phoenix time, 18:00 in Ankara.

Does Arizona require a data processing agreement with a software vendor?

Not under a comprehensive state privacy law, because the state has none and SB 1815 was held in committees in 2026. The breach statute still requires a vendor holding personal information it does not own to notify the owner as soon as practicable after discovering a breach. Writing that duty into the contract makes the handoff explicit.

Has Curiosive rebuilt or revived large products for US companies?

Yes. We rebuilt Zing Coach (zing.coach), AI fitness coaching for 1M+ users, from Webflow to Next.js for a US client, and revived RateItAll (rateitall.com), a legacy ratings platform with 12M+ reviews. We also maintained the Detailed SEO Extension, used by 600,000 SEOs, through its acquisition by Ahrefs.

How much does outsourced software development from Curiosive cost?

From $2,000 per month for AI-accelerated development, with scope and capacity agreed in writing. That covers a releasable increment every week and senior review of every change, and the repository, database and hosting accounts are opened in your name or connected to the ones you already hold.

How it starts

What happens after you write to us.

  1. 01

    You describe the product

One paragraph on what you are building, roughly when you need it, and who it is for. No brief, no form with fifteen fields.

  2. 02

You get a reply within a day

From the engineer who would do the work, not a sales team. If we are not the right fit we say so, and where possible we point you somewhere better.

  3. 03

    You get a scoped plan

Scope, price and timeline in writing before anything is committed. You decide with the numbers in front of you.

No long contract to begin, no lock-in to our tooling, and the code is yours from the first commit.

Looking for an engineering partner for the long haul?

A short note about the product, the timeline and who it is for is enough to start. You will hear back from the engineer who would do the work, not a sales team.
